Should an Autistic child get therapy from the same Therapist or not?
If he/she should take therapy from the same Therapist then Why? If not then Why not?
The answer to this question is really depend upon the actual condition of the child and symptoms, as it varies from child to child.

First of all, we will discuss the pros and cons of having same therapist throughout the session. The benefit of having same therapist is that there is a good Rapport building between the child and the therapist because of which we can try new and different activities in which the child is having problems,as the child is having good rapport with therapist so he/she anticipates each and every movement as well as behaviour of the child.The benefit of having same therapist is that the child considers comfortable environment as well as good tunning at therapy centre.
If we support that the therapy should be taken from different therapists then WHY?
Because Some of the Autism kids having Fixation pattern so if the child is having therapy from the one therapy than it will aggravate his Fixation as well as Obsession to each and everything. Because of which the child can't be socialized and lacking with communication skills. There is a big impact seen when the child is going to school where if he has a good rapport with the nursery teacher than it's not necessary that the same teacher will be promoted in the kindergarten and higher classes so the social factors plays an important role in this . The child will not interact with his classmates as well and like to be isolated whether it's some curriculum activities or any project work.
Because of this reason, we believe that a child should take therapies from different therapists.
Now the question will arise that if the therapist changes again and again then it will affect the kid's improvement. So changing therapist should not be supported routinely but if the child is stable like sitting and following command of the therapist then only we change or introduce the new therapist with the child. With this we can improve the child overall like social, communication, emotional,speech and language as well as behavioural.
At last I would recommend the therapist should be changed according to the condition of the child's need but not according to parents. The therapy centre and therapies should be according to the requirement of the child instead of Parent's.
